Announcement: TechCafé Free Wi-Fi Initiative in Rotorua

TechCafe is pleased to announce it will be providing free guest WiFi in the Rotorua CBD.

The launch coincides with TechCafe opening a new regional office in Rotorua on September 4 and continues their regional development strategy. TechCafe is a managed IT services provider with offices throughout New Zealand, including metropolitan and regional locations.

The WiFi will be easily accessible to anyone in the CBD with simple click and connect access. Businesses within the Rotorua CBD that want to support this initiative can partner with TechCafe, free of charge.

TechCafe’s Business Development Manager says this is an exciting development to be part of for Rotorua. “This is a great move for Rotorua and we are proud to be the market leaders in this space. We want to ensure Rotorua locals and tourists can benefit from this and believe it’s a great opportunity for local business to get onboard and support this game-changing move. “TechCafe wants to play their part in underpinning Rotorua’s growth.”

This development will also help local tourism in Rotorua and is a nice extra for tourists to be able to access this in the city.

Businesses who partner with TechCafe on this venture will have their logo featured on the WiFi’s landing page and TechCafe’s website, among other promotional opportunities.

Matt Dawson, National Manager at TechCafe, says this move is part of their regional investment strategy. “While we have metropolitan hubs in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, we believe the regions of New Zealand shouldn’t miss out on having high-quality WiFi,” Dawson says. “TechCafe is a proven service provider with specialty in delivering WiFi solutions and we want to contribute to improving the local infrastructure of Rotorua and having free WiFi is a big step in the right direction.”

The WiFi is part of a ubiquitous network across all of TechCafe’s locations throughout the country. More information including a map of the coverage and list of supporting businesses can be found at http://techcafe.co.nz/free-wifi-initiative from the 4th of September.
